Jeff Kirkpatrick is a certified court officer with over 25 years of experience specializing in orders to seize property (writs of executions). He is the past president of the Michigan Court Officers, Deputy Sheriffs, and Process Servers Association and is acknowledged as one of the leading court officers in Michigan. Mr. Kirkpatrick served on the ad hoc committee appointed by the Michigan Supreme Court to address the supervision and appointment of court officers, a process that led to the creation of MCR 3.106. He is a state-licensed insurance agent, vice president of a national insurance company, and a former police reserve officer. Mr. Kirkpatrick has served as a court-appointed receiver and testified as an expert witness on orders to seize property. He is the past president of the BlueOx Credit Union and currently serves as a director. Mr. Kirkpatrick is the author of "Michigan Civil Process Handbook" and has presented regularly for ICLE on the topic of "Orders to Seize Property."
