Rebecca Tushnet is the inaugural Frank Stanton Professor of First Amendment Law at the law school. She clerked for Associate Justice David H. Souter and previously taught at NYU and Georgetown. Her work focuses on copyright, trademark, and advertising law. With Eric Goldman, she publishes a casebook on advertising and marketing law. Ms. Tushnet helped found the Organization for Transformative Works, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting and promoting fanworks. Her blog, tushnet.blogspot.com, is one of the top intellectual property blogs, and her writings may be found at tushnet.com. She is also an expert on the law of engagement rings.
