Michael E. Thomas began his practice in 1976 and focuses on estate planning and elder law. He has completed more than 8,000 estate plans and hundreds of Medicaid plans for nursing home and assisted living residents. He has also helped countless veterans and spouses obtain Aid and Attendance benefits. Mr. Thomas is a member of the Wealth Counsel Study Group; National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys; National Law Association; State Bar of Michigan (including the Elder Law and Disability Rights, Taxation, and Probate and Estate Planning Sections); Michigan Association for Senior Health (MASH); Genesee County Commission on Aging; and Christian Legal Society. Mr. Thomas, a frequent speaker, is a deacon and serves on several charitable boards. He received his JD from MSU College of Law and a master’s degree in taxation from Walsh College.
