Hon. Linda S. Hallmark is a chief judge pro tempore of the Oakland County Probate Court. From 1998 to 2017 she served the Family Division; she was presiding judge of that division from 2000-2004. Judge Hallmark was originally appointed to the court in 1997 after previously serving as a referee for the Oakland County Friend of the Court. She was the longest serving member of the Governor’s Task Force on Child Abuse and Neglect and is a member of the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan, past president of the Michigan Inter Professional Association and past president of the Women Official’s Network. She is a recipient of the Wonder Woman Award and Champion of the Justice Award. A Fellow of the Michigan State Bar and Oakland Bar foundations, she has served as chair of the State Bar’s Family Law Section, president of the Referee’s Association, chair of the Oakland County Bar Association’s Family Law Committee, and member of the Attorney Discipline Board and State Bar’s Representative Assembly. Judge Hallmark is a lecturer at the Biannual New Judge’s school and is a frequent presenter for the Michigan Judicial Institute, ICLE, State Bar of Michigan, Oakland County Bar Association, Women Lawyers Association, and American Bar Association. Judge Hallmark has also authored articles on both probate and family law topics.
