Joyce F. Todd was a senior assistant corporation counsel for Oakland County. She served as an assistant prosecuting attorney at the Oakland County Prosecutor's Office from 1979 to 1991, specializing in child sexual abuse. For the next three years, Ms. Todd was an assistant U.S. attorney in the Eastern District of Michigan (Detroit). Following that, she returned to the Oakland County Prosecutor's Office as chief of the Appellate Division, where she continued to try felony cases, including child sexual abuse and murder cases, until she retired in 2008. Ms. Todd's career has included arguing two cases in front of the Michigan Supreme Court.
