As a general practitioner, Maury Klein has been practicing in almost all aspects of civil law and litigation since 1985. A graduate of the Detroit College of Law, he began as an associate with Samuel W. Barr PC for three years and moved into solo practice in 1989. Mr. Klein is the current chairperson of the State Bar of Michigan's General Practice Section, a position he has held twice before. Additionally, since 1998, he has served as the editor of "The General Practitioner," the publication of the section. Mr. Klein has argued before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit as well as the Michigan appellate courts over the course of his career. He was a speaker at the very first Solo and Small Firm Institute when the General Practice Section was the only sponsor.
