Nanette L. Cortese is the principal member of her firm. She has practiced law in the state of Michigan for over 30 years. For the last 15 years, she has specialized in employment law and working with corporations and organizations. Ms. Cortese is admitted to practice law in the state of Michigan, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th, 6th, and 7th Circuits. She has volunteered her time as a barrister/mentor for the American Inn of Court, doing volunteer work at the legal aid clinic for Most Holy Trinity Church, and serving on the board of directors and as a trustee of the Preservation Fund for the Detroit Yacht Club. Ms. Cortese graduated from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law. While at university, she was the executive editor for the "University of Detroit Law Review" for outside articles, as well as being a member of the Justice Frank Murphy Honor Society. After graduating, she clerked for U.S. District Court Federal Judge Patrick J. Dougan.
