Catherine D. Hoort opened her law firm in 1992 following a federal clerkship position. Her practice initially focused on divorce and criminal matters but gradually expanded to include estate planning and administration, real estate, and general civil dispute litigation. In addition to her private practice, Ms. Hoort was an adjunct professor for Cooley Law School for over 22 years. She taught trial skills, advocacy, legal methods, and pretrial skills. Ms. Hoort retired from the practice of law in July of 2018 and is now living in Georgia.
