Elizabeth Callahan-Morris serves as vice president and deputy general counsel of hospital operations for the health system. She manages a team of lawyers and legal professionals who are responsible for providing legal counsel across the health system on matters such as regulatory compliance, fraud and abuse, privacy and security, patient care, physician and vendor contracting, corporate transactions, international, medical staff, employment, and litigation. She also serves as legal representative to the health system’s COVID-19 Incident Command. Prior to joining HFHS, Ms. Callahan-Morris was a partner with a national health care law firm, where she focused her practice on regulatory compliance and privacy and security matters. Her prior experience also includes serving as associate counsel to Health Alliance Plan and as adjunct professor at the University of Detroit Mercy.
