Joseph A. Bellanca practices in entertainment and intellectual property law, focusing on contracts, licensing, trademarks, and copyright. Before joining his current firm, he was the general manager of Freedom Hill Amphitheatre. Mr. Bellanca is the secretary of the Arts, Communications, Entertainment, and Sports Section of the State Bar of Michigan; secretary of the Italian American Bar Association of Michigan; executive board member of the Detroit Music Awards Foundation; member of the Macomb County Bar Association; member of the Oakland County Bar Association; and member of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences. He was named a SuperLawyers Rising Star (2012-2017), a "dBusiness" magazine Top Lawyer (2012-2016), and a "Michigan Lawyers Weekly" Up and Coming Lawyer (2014). Mr. Bellanca also teaches entertainment and media law at Cooley Law School, and he previously taught at the Detroit Institute for Music Education.
