Beth A. Swagman, owner and founder of the firm, is a certified social worker and focuses her practice on estate planning and elder law. She served on the State Bar of Michigan's Elder Law and Disability Rights Council from 2011 to 2018 and the steering committee for the Probate Section of the Grand Rapids Bar Association from 2012 to present. She has also served on the boards of Harmony Homes and Friendship Ministries, nonprofit groups that serve the needs of cognitively impaired adults. Ms. Swagman is a certified trainer in clergy misconduct and domestic violence and the author of three books on abuse and domestic violence. She also has experience as a medical social worker at Henry Ford Hospital and family and child therapist. Ms. Swagman earned her MSW from the University of Michigan and her JD from Thomas M. Cooley Law School.
