Syeda F. Davidson joined the ACLU of Michigan as a senior staff attorney in 2020. Prior to that, she worked for seven years in private practice, representing workers in employment discrimination cases. She also previously represented survivors of intimate partner violence at Lakeshore Legal Aid. Ms. Davidson has served on the board of commissioners for the State Bar of Michigan and continues to serve on its judicial qualifications committee. She is on the board of directors for the Oakland County Bar Association and has written articles for multiple publications, including serving as a managing editor for the American Bar Association's magazine, "TYL." Ms. Davidson is also an adjunct professor, teaching employment law at Michigan State University College of Law and Oakland University's paralegal program. She has been recognized by a variety of organizations for not only her legal abilities, but also for her leadership, integrity, and commitment to pro bono work. Ms. Davidson has a BA from the University of Michigan-Dearborn and is a cum laude graduate of Thomas M. Cooley Law School.
