Christopher N. Anderson is the chief assistant prosecuting attorney for Eaton County and is currently assigned to the areas of abuse/neglect, juvenile delinquency, and fatal and serious injury traffic crashes. He has prosecuted matters from traffic tickets to homicides and appeared at every level of trial courts in Michigan as well as the court of appeals. He was one of the first assistant prosecuting attorneys in Michigan to be certified as a Drug Recognition Expert (DRE). He regularly assists in training new DREs to be prepared for courtroom testimony. Mr. Anderson currently serves on the Prosecuting Attorneys Association of Michigan (PAAM) Drug Initiatives Committee, the PAAM Technical Services Committee, and the PAAM Education and Training Committee. He is also appointed to the Criminal Jurisprudence and Practice Committee of the State Bar of Michigan and is a member of the Trine University School of Criminal Justice Professional Advisory Board. He has presented to the PAAM Support Staff conference on forfeiture procedures and to the Michigan State Police on medical marijuana and traffic stops. He has been an assistant prosecuting attorney for more than 10 years, received his five-year Prosecution Service Award from PAAM, and been awarded the David M. Schieber MADD Lifesaver Award.
