Michael C. Decker concentrates his practice in the areas of construction law and litigation and business law and litigation. He counsels contractors and suppliers on all aspects of both public and private projects, including drafting and negotiating construction-related contracts and other documents and prosecuting and defending construction-related claims. Mr. Decker represents owners, engineers, architects, and sureties with construction-related matters. He also handles business-related matters, including drafting and negotiating business-related contracts and other documents and prosecuting and defending business-related claims. Mr. Decker has been named a Rising Star in business litigation and construction litigation from 2013 to 2023 by Super Lawyers, a Top Lawyer in construction litigation from 2017 to 2023 by "DBusiness," and a Best Lawyer in construction litigation from 2021 to 2024 by "The Best Lawyers in America." He was also named a Leader in the Law by "Michigan Lawyers Weekly" in 2021. Mr. Decker is licensed to practice in Michigan and Florida (in all state and federal courts in both states). While attending law school at Wayne State University Law School, he served as an associate editor of the "Journal of Law in Society."
