Erin E. Gravelyn has practiced commercial litigation since 1993, handling a wide variety of matters including contract disputes, construction disputes, dealer termination cases, ERISA and employee benefits litigation, business tort and unfair trade practice litigation, employment litigation, and appellate matters. She has successfully tried cases in both state and federal courts and in arbitration. Ms. Gravelyn serves on the State Bar of Michigan's Character and Fitness Committee and participates actively in a number of community organizations. A past chair of the Grand Rapids Historic Preservation Commission, she has given numerous presentations on urban planning and preservation principles as well as on the subject of federal and state historic tax credits. Ms. Gravelyn taught a litigation "boot camp" course for ICLE on arbitration strategies and techniques and has spoken to several businesses on the topics of business torts and the structuring and enforcement of noncompetition agreements. She is also coauthor of the chapter on "Breach of Fiduciary Duty" in ICLE's "Michigan Business Torts" (2d ed).
