Hon. Helene N. White was appointed to the Sixth Circuit on August 12, 2008, after having served on the Michigan Court of Appeals since 1993, where she chaired the Rules Committee and participated in the development of the court's delay-reduction programs. She previously served as a Wayne County Circuit Court judge for ten years, also active in delay reduction, and as a Common Pleas/36th District Court judge for two years. Judge White is coauthor of "Towards Excellence in Caseflow Management," published by the National Center for State Courts.
