Jeff Ziarko

Washington, DC

Jeff Ziarko has over a decade of experience designing and advocating economic policy initiatives on Capitol Hill and in the private sector. As senior economic policy advisor for the House Ways & Means Committee and its former ranking member, Representative Sandy Levin, Mr. Ziarko was a member of the Committee tax staff and responsible for policy analysis and legislative strategy with respect to tax reform, extension of the 2001 and 2003 tax cuts, job creation, municipal finance, the debt limit and macroeconomic policy. During his time on Rep. Levin’s staff, he led successful initiatives to promote access to capital for small businesses and communities, promote domestic manufacturing, support the deployment of alternative energy technologies and improve the fairness of the tax code. After leaving the public sector, Mr. Ziarko was director of government relations for Enhanced Capital, an asset management firm focused on providing capital to underserved small businesses and communities. He managed the firm’s strategic relationships with federal, state, and local government stakeholders in order to develop and maintain policy-based business opportunities, leading a network of more than 40 contract lobbyists in 22 states to further jurisdiction-specific advocacy goals, including passage of tax credit-based investment incentives.
