David Goukassian is a criminal defense attorney, representing clients in both state and federal courts throughout Michigan. He earned his undergraduate degree in criminal justice from Wayne State University in 2011 and graduated magna cum laude from Western Michigan University Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 2017. While in law school, Mr. Goukassian served as president of the Mock Trial Board, was a teaching assistant in criminal procedure, and received multiple Certificate of Merit awards. He interned at the Genesee County Prosecutor’s Office and clerked for Judge Leo Bowman of the Oakland County Circuit Court. Mr. Goukassian is admitted to practice in all Michigan state courts and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. He is fluent in Armenian and conversational in Russian.
