Artificial intelligence is an ongoing topic of discussion in the legal community, and ICLE Legal Updates help break down important issues. This Legal Update discusses United States v Farris, in which the Sixth Circuit found that an attorney violated ethical duties of competence and candor when he used AI software to draft appellate briefs and filed the briefs without properly verifying citations to legal authority.
