Michelle Thurber Czapski practices in the areas of commercial litigation and insurance matters. She specializes in the defense of complex cases, including class actions, as well as financial services litigation, business torts, and life, health, and disability insurance/ERISA disputes. Ms. Czapski is the chairperson of Bodman's Insurance Industry Team and serves as regional counsel for a large insurance company, thus appearing regularly in courts throughout the Midwest. She has served as a master of the bench for the Detroit chapter of the American Inns of Court and as a council member for the Litigation Section of the State Bar of Michigan. Active in the Defense Research Institute, Ms. Czapski is a member of the Steering Committee and membership chairperson of the Life, Health, and Disability Committee, and vice chairperson of the Commercial Litigation Class Action Committee. She also serves as a case evaluator in Oakland and Wayne Counties and is an advocate for Children at Risk and its efforts to combat the trafficking of minors in the United States.
