Matthew E. Krichbaum, a principal with the firm, concentrates his practice in civil litigation, including commercial, intellectual property, and First Amendment and civil rights cases. Before joining the firm in 1998, he practiced for five years with Kattan, Muchin & Zavis in Chicago. Mr. Krichbaum has had many high-profile clients throughout Michigan. He is also qualified as a civil mediator. Mr. Krichbaum is trained and experienced in facilitative mediation and is a court-approved mediator in Washtenaw, Livingston, Jackson, Oakland, and Wayne counties. He is former chair of the Washtenaw County Bar Association’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee. Mr. Krichbaum has lectured on various topics for ICLE, including false advertising and the First Amendment. He was recognized by "The Best Lawyers in America" in 2016 and 2017 in the area of commercial litigation. In 2017 and 2018, he was selected as a Michigan Super Lawyer.
