Ronald C. Liscombe assists public sector clients with a range of issues, including public finance and governance matters. He has deep knowledge of state and local government, having worked in a variety of policy and program management roles before joining the firm. Mr. Liscombe is able to counsel and provide direction to public entities to develop innovative and effective strategies in response to challenging policy issues. His experience includes advising and counseling two start-up public entities in all general legal matters, including the development of policies and procedures, contracts, and providing advice on Open Meetings Act and Freedom of Information Act issues. He has advised clients on the operational impact of proposed legislation and assisted them with developing strategies to eliminate or reduce potentially adverse effects. Before joining the firm, Mr. Liscombe was the chief sustainability officer for the City of Lakeland, Florida; policy counsel in the Executive Office of the State of Michigan; and an associate attorney at a local law firm representing public and private sector clients.
