John B. Swift II joined the Michigan State Housing Development Authority in early 2021. Prior to his work there, he worked at the Institute of Continuing Legal Education, working with ICLE contributors to produce on-demand seminars in a variety of practice areas. Mr. Swift also developed other ICLE products, including How-To Kits, Top Tips in Ten Minutes, and online training programs. While in law school, Mr. Swift worked as a student intern on policy issues for the Office of the Governor of Michigan and the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality. Before joining ICLE in 2015, he spent four years in private practice at a small firm handling civil litigation, transactional matters, commercial and residential leasing, property disputes, and estate planning. Mr. Swift is a member of the Criminal Law, Litigation, Cannabis Law, and Real Property Law Sections of the State Bar of Michigan.
