Victoria M. Burton-Harris serves as the chief assistant prosecutor for Washtenaw County. She was appointed to the position January 1, 2021. Before this appointment, she was managing partner in McCaskey Law, PLLC, practicing in the areas of criminal law, family law, and probate and estate planning. She is a member of the Federal Bar Association, the Women's Bar Association--Oakland County, Criminal Defense Attorneys of Michigan, the National Lawyers Guild, the National Conference of Black Lawyers, and the Wolverine Bar Association. Ms. Burton-Harris is the cofounder and executive board member of 5 HOPE (Helping Our People Excel), is on the board of directors for Covenant House of Michigan, and is a legal services committee member of HAVEN of Oakland County.
