Daniel W. Linna, Jr., brings extensive experience in private practice to the law school. He joined Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn in 2005, after clerking for U.S. Court of Appeals Judge James L. Ryan, Sixth Circuit. He was a partner in Honigman’s litigation department. Mr. Linna has significant experience litigating and resolving complex commercial, contract, and bankruptcy disputes and has tried several cases before judges and arbitrators. He was also a member of the firm’s automotive and manufacturing, e-discovery and information management, commercial transactions, and social, mobile, and emerging media groups. He has presented on numerous subjects, including supply-contracting best practices, the common-interest privilege and joint-defense agreements, and information privacy issues and best practices. Mr. Linna also has experience negotiating and drafting supply agreements. He was a member of Honigman’s committee on minority attorney initiatives and led its recruiting subcommittee. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Michigan Law School, and also earned a master’s degree in public policy and administration from Michigan State University; a bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Michigan; and a bachelor’s degree in political science from Michigan State University.
