Susan L. Chalgian concentrates her practice in the areas of elder law, estate planning, and special needs planning. She is active on several boards and committees, including as secretary of the Elder Law and Disability Rights Section of the State Bar of Michigan, council member to the Probate and Estate Planning Section of the State Bar of Michigan, president for the State Women Lawyer's Association of Michigan, and active member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. Ms. Chalgian is an accredited attorney with the Department of Veterans Affairs. She is an author and a frequent speaker on elder law issues to both professional audiences and community groups. Ms. Chalgian has been selected as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers since 2019 and was recognized as an Up and Coming Lawyer by "Michigan Lawyers Weekly" in 2021.
