Mahja Zeon is a partner in the Labor and Employment Department at the firm. Ms. Zeon specializes in defending employers against liability for discrimination, harassment, and retaliation claims. She has defended claims brought against employers before both the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and state civil rights departments. Ms. Zeon also offers legal guidance to employers concerning employment contracts and severance agreements. She has extensive first- and second-chair experience in jury and bench trials in state and federal court, and has successfully defended employers in immigration-related unfair employment charges before the Immigrant and Employee Rights Section in the Civil Rights Division of the Department of Justice. Additionally, Ms. Zeon assists clients in various stages of state and federal litigation, including drafting discovery requests and responses, and crafting dispositive motions.
