Adil A. Daudi serves as associate general counsel for the University of Michigan in the Office of the Vice-President and General Counsel. He focuses his practice primarily on professional reimbursement and transactional matters involving the University of Michigan Health System. Mr. Daudi has experience in a wide range of regulatory issues, including the Stark law, Anti-Kickback Statute, False-Claims Act, Anti-Markup Rule and HIPAA. As part of his practice, he also assists his clients in planning and negotiating complex joint venture transactions and affiliations involving hospitals and physicians. Mr. Daudi has a particular interest in issues impacting durable medical equipment and home health providers, including licensing and certification, compliance, fraud and abuse, and payment issues. Prior to joining the University of Michigan, he practiced health care law at the law firm of Smith, Haughey, Rice, and Roegge. Mr. Daudi is an active member of the State Bar of Michigan's Health Care Law Section and the American Health Lawyers Association. In addition, he serves as treasurer for the South Asian Bar Association of Michigan. A graduate of Indiana University School of Law, Mr. Daudi was named a Michigan Rising Star in 2010.
