Brian G. Shannon
Now retired, Brian G. Shannon specialized in appellate advocacy, primarily civil, for over 45 years. In 1995, he was a founding member of the Appellate Practice Section of the State Bar of Michigan and served as the section's first chair. For 20 years Mr. Shannon was on the Michigan Appellate Bench Bar Conference Foundation's planning committee, helping to plan and stage appellate bench-bar conferences since 1995. He was named a Lawyer of the Year in 2007 by "Michigan Lawyers Weekly" for his appellate work and has been recognized each year for excellence in appellate advocacy by several well-known rating organizations, including the 2021 edition of "The Best Lawyers in America." In 2023, Mr. Shannon celebrated 50 years in the State Bar of Michigan.
