Charles T. Oxender's specialty area is traditional labor law, with extensive experience in negotiating collective bargaining agreements, presenting and defending cases in grievance and arbitration proceedings, and defending unfair labor practice charges at both the state and federal levels. He has represented companies before the National Labor Relations Board as well as municipalities and school districts before the Michigan Employment Relations Commission. Mr. Oxender also has comprehensive experience in defending employment discrimination claims in state and federal courts and with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and Michigan Department of Civil Rights. He has provided general employment and labor advice, including compliance with state and federal laws, to both public- and private-sector clients for many years. Mr. Oxender is admitted to practice in the courts of Michigan, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. He is a member of the Oakland County Bar Association, the Labor and Employment Law Sections of the American Bar Association, and the State Bar of Michigan.
