Thomas A. Bassett has practiced in the area of immigration law for over 30 years. He has experience in a broad range of immigration matters facilitating international exchange and international relocation and migration. Mr. Bassett is a former chairperson and current member of the Michigan Chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and serves as a mentor with AILA in the areas of adjustment of status, exchange visitors and students, and the Detroit INS District Office procedures. He is a member the State Bar of Michigan and the Oakland County Bar Association and has been a member of NAFSA: Association of International Educators since 1970. Mr. Bassett is a frequent lecturer and contributing author in the immigration law field.
