Anna M. Budde specializes in preparation and prosecution of national and international chemical and mechanical patents. She has successfully prosecuted hundreds of U.S. and international patent applications in a broad range of technologies and is experienced in conducting landscape investigations and in preparing freedom-to-operate, validity, infringement, and patentability opinions. Ms. Budde draws on her experience as a senior research chemist with BASF Corporation, where her research in coatings led to being an inventor on four U.S. patents. She is a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association, the Intellectual Property Owners Association, the Michigan Intellectual Property Law Association, and the State Bar of Michigan, where she presently serves as chairperson of the Intellectual Property Law Section. Ms. Budde has been a recent editor of and contributor to the Intellectual Property Law Section's publication "Proceedings." She is a magna cum laude graduate of Wayne State University Law School, where she was inducted into the Order of the Coif National Honor Society and was a member of "Wayne Law Review," serving as senior articles editor.
