Mark Oudersluys works as an information technology consultant, assisting law firm clients in developing and implementing records management schedules and programs. He provides assistance with the review of existing client records management programs, schedules, and business processes in relation to new legislative requirements. Mr. Oudersluys also reviews and updates corporate records management policies, procedures, and retention schedules and provides records-related training. Before his work for law firms, Mr. Oudersluys was the director of global records management, office management services, and administrative services at Pfizer and its predecessor companies, where he was employed for 31 years. At Pfizer, Mr. Oudersluys, among other things, implemented an annual corporate records compliance and auditing process; managed the transition of the records management function for three company mergers, ensuring that the records management program and policies complied with all applicable laws and regulations; and designed and implemented a global e-mail retention policy that included an automated purge of documents that exceeded the applicable retention time period. He holds an MBA from Western Michigan University.
