Richard L. Warsh has been practicing worker's compensation law since 1977. He currently represents injured workers and disabled veterans exclusively. A member of the Michigan Association for Justice (MAJ) since 1980, he served as chair of the Workers' Compensation Section of MAJ from 1993 to 2005 and as president of Michigan Trial Lawyers Association from 2009 to 2010. Mr. Warsh has also been chair of the Michigan Lawyers for the Protection of Workers' Compensation and a founding member of Pride Pac. He is past chair of the Workers' Compensation Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan and is special counsel to the Attorney Grievance Commission, acting as a regular panelist since 1984. Mr. Warsh has been a member of the Workplace Injury Litigation Group and a member of its executive board. He is a member of the Michigan Workers' Compensation Advisory Committee and a member of both the Task Force on Vocational Rehabilitation in Workers' Compensation and the Task Force on Evidence Based Medicine. Since 1997, Mr. Warsh has been a frequent speaker and moderator at area seminars, and he has testified before the Senate Labor Committee, contributing to legislative discussions and the drafting of legislation relating to worker's compensation. He is rated AV Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell. Each year for the past 10 years, Mr. Warsh has been voted by his peers as one of Detroit's Best Lawyers, a Best Lawyer in America, a Super Lawyer, and a Top Lawyer by "Crain’s Detroit Business" in the worker's compensation category. He was inducted into the College of Workers' Compensation Lawyers in 2009.
