Andrew B. Wachler is a partner with the firm and has been practicing health care law for more than 30 years. He counsels health care providers, suppliers, and organizations nationwide in a variety of matters. In addition, he writes and speaks nationally to professional organizations and other entities on topics such as Medicare and third-party payor appeals, Stark law, fraud and abuse, regulatory compliance, and enrollment and revocation. He often co-presents with Medicare and other government officials. Mr. Wachler has met with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) policymakers on numerous occasions to effectuate changes to Medicare policy and obtain fair and equitable reimbursement for health systems. Mr. Wachler currently serves on the program planning committee for AHLA’s Institute on Medicare and Medicaid Payment Issues. He previously served on the editorial board of the ABA Health Law Section publication “The Health Lawyer”; as vice chair of the ABA Health Law Section Payment and Reimbursement Interest Group; and vice chair of the ABA Health Law Section Healthcare Policy Task Force.
