Hon. Elizabeth L. Gleicher was appointed to the court in 2007. Previously, she was an attorney in private practice for 27 years, beginning her career at Goodman, Eden, Millender & Bedrosian in Detroit, then opening her own litigation practice in 1994. Judge Gleicher is an elected fellow of the International Society of Barristers (2004) and the American College of Trial Lawyers (2005). In addition to the Michigan Defense Trial Counsel's Respected Advocate Award (2005) and the State Bar of Michigan's Champion of Justice Award (2001), she has received the Planned Parenthood Advocate Award (1998) and the Karmanos Cancer Institute Hero of Breast Cancer Leadership Award (1997). Over the years, Judge Gleicher has been a regular speaker for ICLE and has served as an adjunct professor at Wayne State University Law School, where she currently teaches Pretrial Advocacy.
