Robert W. Palmer practices in the areas of employment, criminal, and personal injury law. He has argued employment discrimination cases in both the Sixth Circuit Court and the Michigan Supreme Court and represented criminal defendants in high-profile cases in the greater Detroit area. Mr. Palmer has also served as case evaluator in Wayne and Oakland counties and for the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. A member of the State Bar of Michigan, the American Civil Liberties Union, and the Oakland and Macomb Bar Associations, he is listed in the current edition of "The Best Lawyers in America," "Super Lawyers," and "Who's Who in North America." In 2010 Mr. Palmer was elected to the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers. He has conducted seminars on trial advocacy in connection with various continuing legal education programs and has appeared on television as an expert on the topics of sexual harassment and social media and the law. In June of 2024, Mr. Palmer was awarded the 2024 Julian Abele Cook Jr.--Bernard A. Friedman Eastern District Of Michigan Federal Bar Association Civility Award for professional excellence and civility.
