Francyne B. Stacey practices in the areas of employment law and immigration law. Her expertise in immigration law includes providing businesses, individuals and families with immigration advice and counsel, preparing and filing non-immigrant petitions for employment, fiancé visas, outstanding/extraordinary ability petitions, waiver applications, national interest waivers, permanent residency petitions and applications, religious vocation and worker petitions, entertainment and cultural exchange visas, adoptions, and family unity matters. In addition, Ms. Stacey has filed petitions and applications for many same-sex couples who are now entitled to immigration benefits. In the employment area, Ms. Stacey represents and provides assistance to clients in all types of employment matters, from litigation to administrative claims before the EEOC or Michigan Department of Civil Rights, to drafting personnel policies and handbooks and providing training. Ms. Stacey is particularly familiar with compliance requirements such as I-9 compliance, document retention, personnel files, employee classifications, independent contractor agreements and FMLA guidance. She has represented clients in both the private and public sector and drafted, reviewed, and negotiated severance and non-compete agreements. Ms. Stacey is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and its Michigan Chapter.
