Laurel Stuart-Fink has practiced family law and appellate law for over 40 years. Currently, the primary focus of Ms. Stuart-Fink’s practice is family law and criminal law appeals, although she continues to accept a limited number of family court cases. In practice since 1984, she has maintained her own solo practice law firm since 1992, practicing primarily in Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb Counties, as well as in the Michigan appellate courts. She has extensive experience working as both a guardian ad litem and a parenting coordinator and has also offered pre-filing facilitative mediation services. Ms. Stuart-Fink is a member of the Family Law and Appellate Practice Sections of the State Bar of Michigan (SBM) and currently serves on both the Domestic Violence and LGBTQA committees of the Family Law Section. She has recently written several articles on behalf of the Domestic Violence committee that have been published in the SBM's "Family Law Journal." Ms. Stuart-Fink is a member of the Oakland County Bar Association (OCBA) and has served as a family law practice mentor for its attorney mentor program. She has performed pro bono legal services for the OCBA and has been a proud participant in the Oakland County Constitution Day program. Ms. Stuart-Fink has also provided pro bono legal services through the Jewish Family Services Legal Referral Service in the greater Detroit area. In addition, she has been involved in the Access to Justice Program and is a past presenter for the Legal Aid and Defender training program. Ms. Stuart-Fink was a presenter at several ICLE Family Law Institutes and has presented at other ICLE seminars as well. She earned an ICLE Family Law Certificate in 2012 and has been a member and a fellow of the Oakland County Bar Foundation since 2011.
