Shelly J. Edgerton is owner of the company and also serves as legal compliance and regulatory affairs officer for Pharmacann/LivWell Michigan. In her prior leadership as director of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA), Ms. Edgerton led the creation of the regulatory licensing program for the State of Michigan’s Medical Marihuana Facilities Licensing Act (MMFLA). She created the original bureau that housed the MMFLA program and assisted with the creation of administrative rules, selection of personnel, and IT development for addressing the regulatory needs of this emerging industry. Before becoming director of LARA, Ms. Edgerton served the state for more than 25 years as counsel for the Michigan Senate. She is a frequent speaker on cannabis licensing and regulatory issues and a member of the Cannabis Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan.
