Lisa Ruby has been with the Michigan Poverty Law Program since 2000 and specializes in Social Security and welfare benefits, including Medicaid, food assistance, and disability-based programs. She previously worked at Legal Services of South Central Michigan, focusing on housing law and public benefits. Ms. Ruby is a member of the Elder and Disability Rights and Social Security sections of the State Bar of Michigan. She has been a trainer at numerous community and legal practice programs, including the Michigan Poverty Law Program Roadshow and National Legal Aid. Ms. Ruby earned a master’s degree in educational psychology from Eastern Michigan University.
