Robert D. Heitmeyer has almost 28 years of experience as an attorney with the Office of Chief Counsel, Internal Revenue Service (IRS), including his time as a special assistant U.S. attorney in the Eastern District of Michigan. His undergraduate degree is in accounting. He earned his law degree from Cooley Law School and an LLM degree in taxation from Wayne State University.
