For more than 30 years, Ellen M. Paynter has focused her Michigan law practice on domestic relations matters. A substantial portion of her work involves representing military service members or their spouses in matters concerning custody, divorce, and the division of military retirement benefits. Ms. Paynter is an active member of the Family Law and Military Law Sections of the State Bar of Michigan, the Oakland County Bar Association, and the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan. Ms. Paynter gives back to her local community as a consistent volunteer at Lakeshore Legal Aid's Family Law Assistant Project Legal Aid Clinics.
