Denise A. Pollicella has 26 years of private and corporate practice, focusing on corporate counseling, M & A, and regulatory compliance. Formerly the vice president and general counsel for the nation’s third-largest child care company, she founded Cannabis Attorneys of Michigan in 2009. Ms. Pollicella helped draft the Medical Marihuana Facilities Licensing Act, cofounded two advocacy groups, and has been an outspoken advocate for the licensed cannabis industry. In addition to regularly writing, speaking, and educating, she continues to be at the forefront of state-level policy and regulation. A regular presenter for ICLE and an inaugural member of the State Bar of Michigan’s Marijuana Law Section, she has lectured at The University of Toledo Law School and has been honored by "Michigan Lawyers Weekly" and the State Bar of Michigan for her pioneering work.
