Hon. Randy J. Wallace

Hon. Randy J. Wallace was appointed to the Court of Appeals in 2024. Before joining the bench, Judge Wallace practiced law for over 25 years at Olsman MacKenzie Peacock, litigating civil cases, mostly on behalf of clients injured in accidents, in state and federal courts throughout the State of Michigan, as well as Tennessee, Indiana, and Illinois. Judge Wallace is a current member and former chair of the State Bar of Michigan’s Civil Procedure and Courts Committee and is a current member of the Michigan Supreme Court Committee on Model Civil Jury Instructions. He also served as a case evaluator for the Oakland County Circuit Court for approximately 20 years. Judge Wallace has volunteered as a judge for Wayne State University Law School’s Student Trial Advocacy Program and the First Year Legal Research and Writing department’s moot court. He previously organized and moderated workshops for new lawyers on a variety of topics, including case evaluation, and was a seminar presenter on topics such as premises liability and general Negligence. For three years, he co-hosted an annual event that raised money for a nonprofit organization that focuses on Alzheimer’s disease care and research.
