Joshua M. Wease is a clinical professor of law and the director of the Alvin L. Storrs Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic. He is responsible for the general operations and management of the clinic, which serves low-income clients and taxpayers for whom English is a second language, and provides law students with hands-on experience practicing tax law. Before coming to the college, Professor Wease was a tax attorney in practice for nine years. He started his legal career as an Equal Justice Works Public Interest Law Fellow at the Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic. Professor Wease was a senior attorney with Foster Swift Collins & Smith and was a partner in Wease Halloran, a boutique tax law firm, for almost five years. He received his LLM in trial advocacy and is admitted to practice in Michigan, the U.S. Tax Court, the Western District of Michigan, the Eastern District of Michigan, and the U.S. Supreme Court. Professor Wease is a member of the State Bar of Michigan Taxation Section Council. He is coauthor of "Master the IRS Maze."
