Michael P. Hogan is the managing attorney of the Bankruptcy Department at the firm and practices in the areas of bankruptcy, creditor's rights, and commercial litigation. A graduate of Michigan State University College of Law, he was twice elected by his peers to serve on the board of directors for the Consumer Bankruptcy Association of the Eastern District of Michigan. Mr. Hogan has been a speaker for the American Bankruptcy Institute and the Consumer Bankruptcy Association's Steven W. Rhodes Consumer Bankruptcy Conference, American Bankruptcy Institute's Central States Seminar, ICLE's Bankruptcy Reform Act: One Year Later, and the National Bar Association Annual Conference. He has served as a member of the advisory board for the Steven W. Rhodes Consumer Bankruptcy Conference and has served as the conference cochair for many years. Mr. Hogan was also selected to serve on the Local Bankruptcy Rules Chapter 13 Subcommittee. In addition, he has authored two How-To Kits for ICLE and coauthored a February 2023 article on Chapter 13 for "DS News."
