Daniel W. Borst practices in the areas of trusts and estates, estate settlement and trust administration, family business and succession planning, fiduciary representation, fundamental estate planning, tax planning, and litigation and dispute resolution. He designs estate plans for individuals, families, and those with family-owned businesses. Mr. Borst counsels clients through the intricacies of trust and probate laws and works with clients to develop plans to manage and protect wealth, plan for uncertainty, and pass assets from one generation to the next while avoiding unnecessary taxes. He often directs teams of financial experts to effectively implement estate planning strategies. Mr. Borst also creates business succession plans and prenuptial agreements. He is a member of the State Bar of Michigan. Mr. Borst is also a member of the Grand Rapids Bar Association, where he is a member of the Family Law Section, a member of the Probate and Estate Planning Section Board, and a past member of the Diversity Committee Board. He is a member of the West Michigan Estate Planning Council board of directors.
