David C. Matelski is the administrator of the Michigan Deparment of Treasury’s Tax Policy Division. Mr. Matelski manages the Tax Policy Division’s work on legislation, litigation, development of tax policy and internal and external guidance. Prior to taking on his role as the administrator, he was a lawyer in the Tax Policy Division focusing primarily on sales and use tax, marihuana tax, tribal tax matters, and special taxes such as motor fuel and tobacco taxes. Mr. Matelski has been with the Department since 2012.
