Lucas (Luke) V. Middleton focuses his practice in the areas of real property, tax, and municipal law. He has developed particular expertise with respect to real property tax foreclosure and works frequently with county treasurers throughout the state. Mr. Middleton is a regular speaker and panelist on issues related to real property tax foreclosure. In addition, he has significant experience navigating complex title disputes at the trial and appellate level. Mr. Middleton is also passionate about the revitalization and development of distressed and contaminated real property. To this end, he has represented land banks throughout Michigan and is a board member for both the Brownfield Redevelopment Authority and Economic Development Corporation for the City of Kalamazoo.
